Semi hauling groceries overturns on I-75 in West Carrollton; lanes temporarily reopen

UPDATE @ 6:40 a.m: A semi-truck that was hauling groceries overturned on I-75 and caused lanes to be blocked on the southbound side of the interstate Thursday morning.

The rollover crash was first reported around 4:45 a.m. between South Dixie Highway and Ohio 725, per initial reports.

Only the left lane was open when the wreck first occurred, but all lanes have temporarily reopened on the interstate.

ODOT officials will return to the interstate at approximately 10 a.m. to remove the truck, which will close lanes again.

The driver of the semi was able to get out of the truck and is alert and conscious, authorities confirm.

Officials say it’s possible the driver fell asleep behind the wheel.

No word on if the driver will be cited for the wreck.
