The checkpoint was held on Colonel Glenn Highway. Three people were arrested for OVI and one for possession of narcotics, the release said.
In all, the officers checked 500 motorists who passed through the checkpoint.

An OVI checkpoint will be held tonight by the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Greene County Sheriff’s Office and Beavercreek Police Department.
The checkpoint will take place from 8 to 10 p.m. on Colonel Glen Highway in Beavercreek.

The checkpoint, also held in conjunction with nearby saturation patrols, is to combat impaired drivers.
“There were 367 OVI-related fatal crashes in which 402 people were killed last year in Ohio,” Xenia Post commander Lt. Matt Schmenk said. “State troopers make on average 25,000 OVI arrests each year in an attempt to combat these dangerous drivers.”
