Owner of Middletown Tube Works dies

The president and owner of Middletown Tube Works, Inc. died Tuesday from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

Ralph Phillips, 65, was injured in a motorcycle accident in Millersburg, Ohio, Saturday, Sept. 5. He passed away from his injuries at the Cleveland Metro Health Hospital, company officials confirmed.

Phillips has worked in the tool and die industry since 1967. He purchased the steel tubing division from Armco in 1993, and renamed it Middletown Tube Works. The company is located at 2200 Trine St., Middletown.

Turner Funeral Home in Shelby, where Phillips was a resident, is handling funeral arrangments, which are pending.
