Initial reports indicate the woman was struck around 3 a.m. at the railroad crossing just north of McGreevey Road.
Witnesses said a car was parked near the tracks that is not normally there, however it’s unclear to whom the vehicle belongs.
Deputies were still conducting their investigation around 10:30 a.m. and the CSX train was still stopped on the tracks.
No other details were immediately available.
