The woman was 34-year-old Victoria I. Simpson, according to Montgomery County Coroner Kent Harshbarger.

The cause of death has not been determined.
The case is under investigation by Dayton police.

Police continue to investigate after the body of a woman was found wrapped in a sheet on Haberer Avenue early Thursday morning.
Officers said the woman’s cause of death is still under investigation and it was unknown if she died from any kind of trauma.

The body was removed by the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office before 8:30 a.m.
The woman’s cause of death is pending autopsy results from the coroner’s office.

Police are investigating reports of a body that was found wrapped in a sheet on Haberer Avenue in Dayton Thursday morning, according to initial reports.
Police responded to the 3300 block of Haberer Avenue around 7 a.m. after a caller reported finding what appeared to be a body wrapped in a sheet near a sewer drain, according to police scanner traffic.
Officers are on scene and have placed crime scene tape up in the area.
Additional details were not immediately available.
