Interstate 71 has reopened at the Jeremiah Morrow Bridge.

The bridge was closed for a police investigation after a pedestrian was found walking on the bridge.

FIRST REPORT

State troopers have shut down all northbound lanes of Interstate 71 at the Jeremiah Morrow Bridge, southeast of Lebanon, in Warren County for an ongoing investigation, according to initial reports.

The highway was shut down around 2 p.m. after a pedestrian was found walking on the bridge, according to initial reports.

Additional details were not immediately available.

The WHIO Traffic Center suggested detour is:

  • Exit I-71 North at the Ohio 123 exit and head south
  • Turn onto Ohio 350 and travel about four miles, to the intersection with Middleboro Road
  • Take Middleboro Road north to Wilmington Road
  • Take Wilmington Road west to the I-71 entrance ramp to head north.
