Restaurant employee tied up, has car stolen in Harrison Twp. robbery

UPDATE @7:10 a.m.: A man called 911 and reported he has been tied up, hit with a crow bar and locked in a cooler during a break-in early Monday morning.

The man said he had been hit in the kneecap with the crow bar.

UPDATE @6 a.m. The owner of a restaurant where an employee was tied up during a robbery early Monday morning said nothing was stolen from her business.

The owner said when the employee got to work around 3 a.m., he was tied up while the two suspects attempted to get into the restaurant’s safe.

Nothing was stolen from the restaurant.

The employee was taken to an area hospital. We’re working to learn more about his condition.

The incident occurred at Burkey Family Restaurant just after 4 a.m., prompting police to respond.

Police are responding to a reported robbery at 670 Shiloh Springs Road in Harrison Twp. early Monday morning.

The incident occurred just after 4 a.m. at Burkey Family Restaurant.

Employees were tied up by individuals wearing masks, per initial reports.
