A report of shots fired in the parking lot of Hollywood Gaming at Dayton Raceway ended up being someone shooting off a firework in the business’ parking lot, Dayton police said.

A police report showed one person could be facing a fireworks related charge, however formal charges had not been filed, records showed.

INITIAL REPORT:

Dayton police responded to the Hollywood Gaming at Dayton Raceway early Wednesday on a reported shots fired call.

The incident was dispatched near the racino located at 777 Hollywood Boulevard around 12:10 a.m., per initial reports.

Officials say two subjects they believe to be involved in the shots fired incident were inside of the facility.

Police were able to detain the two subjects for questioning.

No one was shot and no injuries were reported during the ordeal.

The incident remains under investigation.
