Beavercreek officers are going to shopping centers and residences looking for items in plain view that could turn someone into a theft victim.

Officers are leaving notes on vehicles that informs the owner what was noticed in their vehicle that could have been stolen. The note also encourages the owner to correct the issue and secure property.
Officers are looking for things from open garage doors, unsecured vehicles/valuables, mail accumulating and cell phones on display.
