A High Wind Warning goes into effect 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday for Auglaize, Darke, Logan, Mercer, Miami and Shelby counties in Ohio and Randolph and Wayne counties in Indiana.
A Wind Advisory goes into effect 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday for Butler, Champaign, Clark, Clinton, Greene, Montgomery, Preble, and Warren counties in Ohio and Union County in Indiana.

DETAILED FORECAST
THIS EVENING & OVERNIGHT: Clouds will thicken this evening with a few passing showers possible, Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist McCall Vrydaghs said. Winds may pick up a bit as well. Temperatures will be falling slowly through the 50s. Scattered showers become more likely in the overnight, heavy at time. A few isolated storms are also possible as a strong cold front crosses the area into Wednesday morning. Winds will increase quite a bit. Gusts up to 30 mph expected by sunrise. Overnight low temperatures hold around 50 degrees.

WEDNESDAY: Scattered showers end in the morning. Wind stays strong through the day. Gusts will range from 45 to 55 mph. A High Wind Warning and a Wind Advisory will be in effect for the Miami Valley from 5 a.m. until 9 p.m. Sporadic power outages are possible. Be sure to secure any outdoor decorations. Winds of this strength could damage or carry away items not tied down properly. Temperatures will start in the upper 50s in the morning then fall quickly through the 40s for the rest of the day. Winds will gradually decrease into Wednesday night.

THANKSGIVING: Our forecast for the holiday looks good. While a bit windy early, calmer conditions will return for the latter part of the day. Temperatures will be on the cooler side in the lower 40s, but the weather will remain dry.

FRIDAY: It will be a dry start for Black Friday shoppers with highs in the middle 40s. Clouds will increase, and some showers will be possible late at night.
SATURDAY: Another messy Saturday is in store for the Miami Valley. Steady showers and breezy conditions are expected throughout the day. Highs will reach the low to mid-50s.
SUNDAY: Mostly cloudy, breezy and dry most of the day, but showers are expected to return late day then end with a few snowflakes. No accumulation is expected. Temperatures will rise to a high near 50 then fall to the 30s on Sunday night.
