“At the Dayton International Airport a new daily rainfall record was set when 1.22 inches of rain fell. The old record was 1.06 inches set in 1991. Thursday, more heavy rain broke a record again as 1.91 inches of rain fell, smashing the old record of 1.14 inches set back in 1991”, said Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Kirstie Zontini.

The rain led to localized flooding in which Flood warnings and watches were issued, area rivers being at risk of flood stage, and many roadways closed due to high water.
