Randolph County, Ind., man dies of injuries in crash

A 50-year-old Winchester, Indiana, man died Sunday of injuries he suffered after he was ejected in a two-vehicle crash Saturday night in Randolph County.

Robert D. Moland was taken to Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, where he died Sunday afternoon, according to a release from the Randolph County Sheriff's Office.

Moland was driving west on County Road 650 North around 10:45 p.m. Saturday when he apparently did not stop for the stop sign at the intersection of U.S. 27.

Moland was struck by a vehicle driven by Gary C. McCoy, 56, of Geneva, Indiana. Moland's vehicle then struck a tree and Moland was thrown from the car, according to the sheriff's office.

McCoy was taken to St. Vincent Randolph County Hospital, then transferred to Parkview Hospital Fort Wayne, where he is in stable condition, according to the sheriff's office.
