Both numbers pass records set last year.

The university has three virtual graduation ceremonies scheduled with this weekend: an undergraduate ceremony on Sunday at noon, a graduate ceremony Saturday at 2 p.m. and a law school ceremony at 11 a.m. Saturday.

About 1,490 undergraduates, 500 graduates and 100 law school students are expected to receive degrees.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Gov. Mike DeWine’s administration asked that graduation ceremonious move to online or include a designated pick up time and location for students to get their degrees.

The virtual ceremonies will not replace a formal commencement for Flyers. Instead, it is an extra way to celebrate students and their accomplishments, according to the university. A formal commencement ceremony will be scheduled once the pandemic has passed and large gatherings are allowed again.
