Report: Man dies in incident at Richmond Purina plant

A 23-year-old man died in an incident at the Richmond Purina plant after a report indicated he fell about 50 feet in a silo area of the plant, according to a report from our partners at Kicks 96.

According to the Kicks 96 report, there were no witnesses to the fall and it’s unclear how the man fell or what he was doing at the plant.

Kicks 96 reported the man, who was not identified, was discovered by co-workers and died while being transported to Reid Health.

The man was not a Purina employee, but a contract worker at the plant, Kicks 96 reported.

Kicks 96 said Purina has not commented on the incident.
