Motorcyclist flown to hospital following Preble County crash

UPDATE @ 4:19 p.m. (May 28):

A motorcyclist was flown to a local hospital after he crashed into the side of a semi-tractor trailer, according to troopers and firefighters.

The man was wearing a helmet when the crash happened and his injuries are not believed to be life threatening, officials said.

A portion of U.S. 127 at I-70 was closed while troopers investigated.

The victim’s name was not immediately available.

INITIAL REPORT:

A crash involving a motorcycle and a semi has been reported on U.S. 127 at the I-70 overpass, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Initial reports indicated a medical helicopter was being requested to the scene, according to emergency dispatch traffic.

The crash was reported around 3:10 p.m.
