Cousin Vinny’s pizza delivery driver robbed at gunpoint in Dayton

A pizza delivery driver was robbed at gunpoint while attempting to make a delivery, according to Dayton police reports.

Officers were dispatched to Fernwood Avenue around 3:45 a.m. Tuesday for a suspicious person call, read the report.

Once on the scene, police reported a male was standing in the middle of Fernwood Avenue and Riverview Drive, who said he had been robbed.

The victim was delivering an order for Cousin Vinny’s Pizza early Tuesday morning when a man came up to the driver's side of the vehicle and pointed a gun at him, according to the report.

A second male reportedly then approached the passenger side of the vehicle and told the victim to hand over his phone and wallet.

The first suspect told the victim to get out of the car and start walking, according to reports, and five other males got into the vehicle and drove off.

The other two suspects reportedly took the pizza and then fled on foot.

Police issued a broadcast for the vehicle, which was reportedly registered to the victim’s friend.
