UPDATE: Crash sends large vehicle onto its side in Miami County; 1 injured

UPDATE @ 8:20 a.m.: 

Deputies said a driver of a large commercial vehicle ran a stop sign and crashed into a car in Miami County Thursday morning.

The crash was reported at the intersection of state Route 721 and Frederick-Garland Road in Union Twp., Miami County around 6:40 a.m.

The crash caused the commercial vehicle to roll onto its side in a field.

The driver of the car was transported to an area hospital with some broken bones, investigators said. The driver of the commercial vehicle was not transported by medics and left the scene with a family member, according to our crew on the scene.

A “large commercial vehicle” is on its side after a two-vehicle crash on state Route 721 in southern Miami County Thursday morning, according to initial reports.

The crash was reported at the intersection of state Route 721 and Frederick-Garland Road in Union Twp., Miami County around 6:40 a.m.

Injuries were initially reported in the crash, but the conditions of those involved in the crash were not immediately known.
