The City of Riverside will be designated a Purple Heart City on Nov. 1 at the 7:00 p.m. general council session, according to a release.
“We are the home of many military families, veterans, and retired service members. This designation is a reminder to us all that freedom is not free,” said Riverside Mayor Bill Flaute.
Riverside will post signs at entryways to the city designating that it’s a Purple Heart City.
Ohio currently has about 54 entities with this designation, read the release.
