Riverside police investigating car fire as possible arson

Police are investigating whether a car fire early Monday is a case of arson on Vandergrift Drive.

Residents who live near the incident are saying they heard an explosion and saw a raging fire about 4 a.m. Some of the witnesses said a stonger, louder sound believed to be the explosion of a gas tank or tires, woke them.
