Roads remain closed due to high water throughout the Miami Valley

Tuesday’s heavy rains produced high water that have shut down several area roads in multiple counties across the Miami Valley for a few days.

Here are a list of road closures by county as of Thursday, April 5:

AUGLAIZE

  • In St. Marys, Barber Werner Road between SR 197 and Center Line Road
  • In Wapakoneta, SR 197 between National Road and Kossuth Loop Road, will be closed for several days
  • In Wapakoneta, TownLine Road between Buckland Holden Road and Fairmount Road

CLARK

  • In Fairborn, Haddix Road
  • In Fairborn, Spangler Road
  • In Medway, Lake Road
  • Several areas along Lower Valley Pike
Two people had to be rescued after this truck became trapped in high water on Lower Valley Pike Wednesday morning.

  • In Springfield, Upper Valley Pike near Route 4
  • In Springfield, Route 4 at Lower Valley Pike
  • In Springfield, County Line Road west of US 68

DARKE (reported closures are mainly north and south of the region)

  • In Rossburg, Duncan Road off of SR 47 and McFeely-Petry Road between Rhynard-Fink Riad and OH 118

>> STORM DAMAGE: Significant amount reported in Xenia, Beavercreek townships

  • In Sugarcreek Twp, OH-725 at Sackett Wright Park
  • In Sugarcreek Twp., Lower Bellbrook Road at OH 725
  • In Xenia, the entire length of Clifton Road, the road is closed due to high water and trees down 
  • In Xenia, Ludlow Road near Linebaugh Road
  • In Bellbrook, Washington Mill Road at Hess Road and Lower Hillside Drive
  • In Bellbrook, Sheffield Drive at Vemco Drive
  • In Fairborn, Medway Road at OH 235
  • In Cedarville, Weimer Road between Gravel Pit Road and Barber Road
  • In Cedarville, Cummings Road

MONTGOMERY

PREBLE (multiple county roads are closed throughout, but water is receding on major roads)

  • In Jackson Twp, Preble County Line Road at Kinsey Road

MIAMI 

  • In Tipp City, State Route 571 between OH-202 and the city limits
  • In Troy, Eldean Road between County Road 25A and Piqua-Troy Road
  • In Covington, Covington Bradford Road between State Route 48 and Rangeline Road
  • In Covington, Marlin Road at State Route 48
  • In Covington, Perry Road at Crescent Road

WAYNE, Ind.

  • In Richmond, Nolands Fork Road between N. Centerville Road and King Road
  • In Richmond, Abington Pike between S. Centerville Road and Smelser Road
