Second suspect arrested in restaurant break-ins

KETTERING, Ohio -- Thirty-eight-year-old Kevin Ashley is a suspect in several restaurant break-ins May 24.  Friday, police arrested Ashley. He was staying with his wife in an apartment in the 2100 block of Whipp Road.

His wife, 47-year-old Cindy Ashley, was also arrested for obstructing justice and resisting arrest.

Thirty-eight-year-old Jason Hurst of Dayton is the second suspect in the burglaries.  He was arrested June 12 and remains in the Montgomery County Jail.  Both men are believed to be the ones shown on surveillance video from Mama Disalvos. A safe stolen from that restaurant was later recovered.

The men are also accused in break-ins at China Cottage, Barbecue Hut, China Buffet,  and Pepito's over a two hour period. Police also recovered a stolen vehicle near the apartment that neighbors say Ashley was driving before his arrest.
