Security guard sentenced to prison for child sex crimes outside Dayton recreation center

A security guard at the Northwest Recreation Center was sentenced to prison today after being convicted of charges related to sex acts with minors.

Laquita Ross, 42, of Dayton, pleaded guilty to two counts of rape and four counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. She was sentenced to 11 years in prison and will have to register as a Tier III sex offender upon her release.

A security guard at the Northwest Recreation Center accused of performing sex acts with boys pleaded guilty to charges Monday.

Laquita Ross entered guilty pleas to two counts of rape and four counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, court records show.

Ross, who worked for Moonlight Security, performed sex acts last March with five boys, ages 12 to 15, inside a van in an alley behind the city of Dayton facility while she was working, according to court documents.

Her sentencing is set for March 27.
