Police searching for stolen semitrailer carrying shipment of beer

The owner of a stolen semitrailer is asking police for help in locating the truck he says is carrying a shipment of beer.

Dispatchers said the truck, as well as its 53-foot trailer, was reported stolen around 12:29 a.m. Monday morning in Washington Twp.

The truck's owner told police he noticed the vehicle was missing from the Salvation Army parking lot he leases space from in the 8000 block of South Wind Drive.

Originally scheduled for a trip to Pennsylvania, the truck is carrying a shipment of beer from Miller Brewing Company, according to dispatchers.

Initial reports indicate the semi-trailer is red in color with black lettering on its side.

Anyone with information on the truck's location is encouraged to call the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office at 937-225-4357.
