A short time later, the Cadillac was seen headed south on U.S. 36 and another traffic stop was attempted. However, the second pursuit was quickly ended due to reckless driving.
At about 3:10 p.m., Miami County Sheriff’s Office dispatch received a report of a suspicious vehicle parked in Fletcher. Troopers and deputies responded and confirmed the vehicle had been involved in the earlier pursuits.
While searching the area, troopers and deputies found two people on a porch of a nearby residence. Lee was one of the two, and he had a pellet gun in the front of his pants, according to troopers.
Lee is on parole from a 2009 conviction for robbing a bank and he is suspected of two more bank robberies that happened in July in southwest Michigan, as well as crimes in Ohio, according to the FBI.
Lee was booked into the Montgomery County Jail awaiting extradition to Michigan.
He no longer is listed as an inmate as of Wednesday evening.
