A Madison Twp. man faces child pornography charges after a bag containing a computer was found as he was being arrested on unrelated charges, according to court documents.

Trevor Fraley, 24, was arrested on Wednesday in the 900 block of Crawford Street in Middletown. Next to where Fraley was lying at the time of the arrest was a bag that contained a computer seized after a search warrant was executed, according to court documents.

A forensic investigation showed that Fraley possessed at least two files containing nudity-oriented material or performance involving a minor on his computer, the documents said.

Fraley faces two counts of illegal use of minor in nudity-oriented material or performance, both fifth-degree felonies.

Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones called the investigation “one of the worst cases of child pornography investigated by this agency.”

At a news conference today, Jones said there were thousands of images involved in the investigation, and some of the children involved were as young as 8 months to 2 years old.

There will be more charges coming that could total in the hundreds, Jones said.

Fraley also faces charges of aggravated trafficking in drugs, drug abuse meth and three counts of child endangering. Those charges were filed by the Butler County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Friday in Middletown Municipal on those cases

Fraley is scheduled to be arraigned on the pornography-related charges Wednesday morning in Middletown Municipal Court.
