A brief period of driving rain did pass through Beavercreek just after 7:30 p.m.
The rain-cooled air that pushed out ahead of the thunderstorms between 5 and 7 p.m. effectively ended any threat of severe storms beyond those that hit Mercer County earlier. National Weather Service spotters did report a tree down in Rockford, in northern Mercer, as a result of those earlier thunderstorms.
Officially, the daytime temperature hit 91 at Dayton International Airport, marking the first time temps reached 91 was June 17 and 18.
