Skateboarder hit by vehicle in Sidney; police investigation underway

A skateboarder hit by a vehicle Tuesday night on Arrowhead Drive in Sidney has police working to determine what happened.

The skateboarder's condition was not known at the time of the accident. Medics took the victim first to Wilson ER and later to a second hospital by CareFlight.

Police were dispatched about 7:42 p.m. on accident reportedly involving a vehicle that struck a pedestrian in the 600 block of Arrowhead. Officers said they arrived to find the vehicle had struck a skateboarder in the roadway.
