Chiefs’ group taking applications

The 2020 Chiefs’ group is accepting applications for its annual scholarship. The winning applicant can receive either a $500 or $1,000 amount scholarship, which can be used at college, university or trade skills institutions. Any U.S. military enlisted member or dependents of active-duty, Guard, Reserve or retired enlisted personnel may apply. Contact your unit chief master sergeant or, if a dependent, your sponsor’s unit chief master sergeant for an application. Everything is due by July 10.

Women’s health class upcoming

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs provides a full spectrum of women’s health care services, including primary, general medical, mental health, reproductive and maternity care. Women may be eligible to use both TRICARE and VA health care when they retire.

For women transitioning from active duty to the reserve components or to civilian life, they may register with the link below for the virtual VA Women’s Health Transition Training. Learn about women-focused health services, eligibility and the VA enrollment process.

The date for the class is in the registration; students must register at www.va.gov/womenvet/whtt/ to see the date for Wright-Patterson Air Force Base's class, set for July 28.
