Slippery roads lead to several crashes in the Miami Valley

Icy conditions have led to several crashes this morning in and around the Miami Valley.

Ohio State Highway Patrol reported that there have been several crashes in the area of US 35 Eastbound near Woodman Drive due to icy conditions.

Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Molly Coates said that it was likely that roads will be slick this morning, as temperatures were below freezing in many areas.

One person was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Ohio State Highway Patrol officers reported they have responded to a few crashes related to icy conditions, but indicated that more crashes were likely handled by regional officers.

Reports also indicate that there were multiple crashes in the area of I-675 Northbound around Far Hills Avenue, but regional dispatch said there were no injuries reported.

A pileup crash involving 12 cars was reported on state Route 73 between Middletown and Trenton. Four people were transported from the crash with minor injuries.
