Solid waste agreement could save counties millions

Montgomery and Miami County officials are planning a waste disposal partnership that may save millions of dollars.

On Tuesday, officials said they are creating a joint solid waste transportation and disposal agreement. The move will save Montgomery County $15 million and Miami County $5 million over the next five years.

Officials said the move will decrease transportation costs and pollution.
