Shoppers now say some Kroger stores are able to take credit card payments again.
First Report
Multiple shoppers report that some Kroger stores are currently only able to take cash payments, no credit cards.
A few shoppers have called WHIO saying store employees said the stores are unable to process credit card payments and are only taking cash.
As of 1:30 p.m., multiple shoppers from outside Ohio have tweeted that stores in those states are also unable to process credit card payments.
Officials with Kroger have not returned WHIO’s request for comment, leaving unanswered which stores are affected.
Pretty interesting Christmas Eve in Ohio: windows all open, almost 60 degrees & the local Kroger chains had their credit card network go down for over an hour. So far there are no murders, it was actually pleasant for 20-30 people long lines waiting for the system to come back up

I feel really bad for the checkout clerks at Kroger grocery stores. Apparently their credit card machines went down all across Texas. Cash or checks only! Lots of people abandoned their carts full of food.

And they SHOULD close early. It's Christmas Eve. People should be at home with their families.
PLAN BETTER.
