Springboro football player ordered to do community service

LEBANON — A magistrate this morning ordered a Springboro High School football player to serve 20 hours of community service for his part in an underage drinking incident involving six boys, including three members of the football team, in November.

The boy, 17, of Clearcreek Twp., is the second defendant in the case to accept his guilt in Warren County Juvenile Court.

During a hearing Tuesday, he admitted his role in the incident. His driver’s license was also suspended for 30 days and he was ordered to pay $65 in court costs.

Police said the boys were found in a Springboro home where one of them had lived before it went into foreclosure.
