The man asked that his name not be released, but he’s well known at the convenience store.
Store manager Abdel Rashid said the man comes in two or three times a week to buy tickets. “I’m happy he won, although I’d prefer it was me," he admitted.
The store owned by Hiral and Such Patel is the top lottery ticket selling location in Clark County and has sold many winning tickets, according to Lottery spokeswoman Marie Kilbane.
Patel and Rashid have dozens of winning tickets sold at the store on display, but the $2 million ticket is the biggest win to date.
The store sells the second most winning tickets in Clark County behind Howard’s IGA in New Carlisle. Meijer, 1500 Hillcrest Ave. in Springfield was listed third.
