5 Cleveland Heights children reported safe after Statewide Amber Alert

UPDATE @ 2:53 a.m.:

The Cleveland Heights Police Department reported that the children, believed to have been taken by their parents,  have been located and they are safe.

INITIAL REPORT:

The Cleveland Heights Police Department has issued an Amber Alert for five children believed to have been taken by their parents.

Cordero and Ebony Boxley, who are known to be drug users, are the suspects, according to missingkids.org and Cleveland-area media.

The parents, 32 and 30 years old, reportedly were last seen at their home in Cleveland Heights on Thursday after they learned Cuyahoga County Children and Family Services case workers were coming to take custody of the children, according to the Cuyahoga County Department of Public Safety and Justice Services.

The children are Gemma Boxley, 3; Cordero Boxley III, 5; Ann Boxley, 9; Cordero Boxley II, 10; and Aniah Moten, 15.

The family likely is in a tan 2006 Dodge Caravan bearing license plate number J553273.

There was no photo of Gemma Boxley available.

According to authorities, the parents area wanted on drug charges.

It’s not yet clear where the family was headed, according to reports out of the Cleveland area.
