Statewide alert for central Ohio man, 60, changed to Missing Adult Alert

UPDATE @ 11:06 p.m.: Authorities have dropped the statewide designation for the Licking County man still listed as missing.

The endangered alert has been changed to a Missing Adult Alert, according to county authorities.

INITIAL REPORT

A statewide Endangered Missing Adult Alert has been issued for a central Ohio man, 60, last seen Monday driving from his residence in Newark, Licking County, east of Columbus.

John Deering has not been seen since about noon and is believed to be driving a black 2002 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD pickup, license tag GUF5780.

He is on dialysis treatments and does not have his medication, according to the Licking County Sheriff's Office.

Deering is described as 5 feet 1 and about 145 pounds. He has gray hair and brown eyes, according to authorities.
