A dedication ceremony for the new bridge is set for Monday, Nov. 30, at noon.
The event is open to the public. Those wishing to attend should arrive at the eastern end of the bridge at Stewart Street and Patterson Boulevard. The western end of the bridge will be closed until after the ceremony.
University of Dayton mascot Rudy Flyer will lead a ceremonial drive across the bridge after the ceremony.
The old bridge carried about 16,000 vehicles a day when it closed in June 2008. The new bridge will be wider, with four westbound lanes instead of two.
The Ohio Department of Transportation reopened the Monument Avenue bridge between Robert Drive and Riverview Avenue on Tuesday, Nov. 17.
