Students to get safety text messages

WEST MILTON — The Piqua Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol has partnered with Milton Union High School and “One Call Now” to send safety text messages to student’s cell phones throughout the year.

Students from Milton Union High School pledge to drive responsibly by signing up for the service.

The students will get text messages from the “Partnership for Safe Teen Driving” throughout the school year. The partnership consists of the Milton Union High School, One Call Now message service, and the Ohio Highway Patrol.

Since 2006, there have been 369 deaths involving teenagers in Ohio. Miami County had six deaths and ShelbyCounty had three deaths since 2006.
