Sunny, windy today; Chance of rain returns tomorrow

Today, we will continue our streak of sunny days, as highs rise to around 88 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington. It will be windy today, with some gusts as high as 25 mph.

Tonight, it will be mostly clear with breezy winds, as temperatures fall to around 67 degrees.

Tomorrow, though, we will see a chance of showers, which will start very low in the morning but increase as we go into the afternoon and evening. There is a chance for storms after 2 p.m., which will increase with the rain chances going into Wednesday night.

Temperatures tomorrow will be hot during the day, rising to around 90 degrees, but falling to around 66 degrees overnight.

We will continue to see a chance of showers during the day Thursday, with a chance for storms in the afternoon. Otherwise skies will be partly sunny, with temperatures rising to near 85 degrees.

Thursday night, showers are likely, and thunderstorms are possible early in the evening, with rain chances gradually lessening, though not disappearing, into the early hours of Friday. Low temperatures will be around 67 degrees.
