Suspected meth, cash recovered following Kettering incident that required extra police help

An incident in a Patterson Road grocery store’s parking lot prompted police to issue a call for extra officers following a traffic stop Friday night.

Officers responded around 6:30 p.m. to the parking lot in the 2200 block of Patterson Road.

Police were called to a report of a suspicious person, who ran across Patterson Road when an officer arrived.

The officer pursuing on foot spotted a knife, which led the officer to issue a “Signal 99” radio call for urgent assistance, which brought other officers from Kettering, Oakwood and Dayton.

Police were able to take Christopher R. Wilson into custody, and he was taken to Kettering Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.

Wilson was taken to the Montgomery County Jail following his treatment and is facing charges of resisting arrest and drug paraphernalia, records show.
