T-M teachers make major contract concessions

TROTWOOD, Ohio -- A new teachers’ contract is expected to save the Trotwood-Madison district some $400,000.

The school board accepted a proposal by the teachers’ union to freeze wages and step increases over the next two years.

Even with the concessions, the district had to release 38 personnel for next year, including 28 teachers, on top of the 42 people released last year.
