The Home Depot schedules online job fair for Saturday

Since business is “busier” than expected, a job fair will be conducted on Saturday, Sept. 12, to fill 50 additional positions at the new Home Depot Rapid Deployment Center in Monroe.

Interested applicants must apply online at www.careers.homedepot.com. They will then be directed to a special Web site to schedule an interview for the job fair at the Home Depot warehouse, said Jen King, a spokeswoman for the Northern Division of The Home Depot. The fair will run from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday.

“The RDC is doing well and they are busier than anticipated and are adding staff quicker than they originally planned,” she said.

About 50 full and part-time shifts need to be filled for warehouse, office and maintenance positions at the $33.9 million Home Depot facility. The warehouse opened Aug. 19 at Corridor 75 Premier Logistics Park off Gateway Boulevard near Ohio 63 and Interstate 75, King said. The shift hours are 4:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. Monday through Friday, she said.

The 657,600-square-foot Home Depot Rapid Deployment Center will supply 110 stores located in the Ohio Valley and Great Lakes region that includes Ohio and surrounding states.
