During this time of year when the focus is on giving thanks, there are 21 young students at Primary Village North in Centerville who can teach everyone lessons about what Thanksgiving means.

Most offered News Center 7’s Molly Koweek the same response this week when asked what they are thankful for — family.

“I’m thankful for my family,” Reed said.

“I’m thankful for my mom giving me birth,” Benjamin said.

Others cherish family members who will be hanging out under the dinner table Thursday.

“My dog,” Caleb said.

They clearly know it’s not about possessions.

“I’m thankful for my life because it makes me help people,” Jack said.

“I’m thankful for being alive,” Lillian said.
