Ex-Tribune Co. CEO arrested on DUI charge in Ohio

The  former Chicago-based Tribune Co.  CEO has been charged with drunk driving in southwest Ohio.
 Middletown police say Randy Michaels was arrested early Friday near Interstate 75.

The police report says he smelled of alcohol and failed sobriety tests and charged him with driving under the influence.

A court appearance is set for Oct. 21.

59-year-old Michaels resigned last year as the Tribune CEO.

He helped launch Merlin Media, a multimedia company, in June.

Michaels has a long history in the radio industry as an executive and shock jock.
