Carbon monoxide detectors are available to Trotwood residents, thanks to a donation from the Dayton Firefighters Federal Credit Union.

The credit union has donated 60 CO detectors to the Trotwood Fire and Rescue Department.

The detectors are free to all residents, excluding apartment dwellers, with a limit of one per household.

Fire and rescue personnel will install the detectors if requested. The department also offers smoke detectors.
