The rain didn’t dampen the spirits of the participants during the second annual Troy Memorial Freedom Climb Sunday.

Hundreds climbed the steps at Troy Memorial Football Stadium or walked the track remembering 9/11.

Participants climbed the steps 64 times or walked four laps around the track. This was equivalent to climbing the 1,980 steps up the 110 stories to the top of the Twin Towers in New York City.

Proceeds from the Freedom Climb benefit local and national police and firefighter associations.
