Dontae Bailey Sr., 34, originally was charged with felonious assault in the Jan 16 incident on Imperial Court in Troy.
As part of a plea deal, a charge of possessing a weapon under disability was dismissed by prosecutors and a gun specification was not included with the assault charge.
A pre-sentence investigation was ordered and sentencing scheduled June 5. Bailey's bail, previously set at $200,000, was reduced to $75,000 by Judge Jeannine Pratt.

A man suspect in a shooting who has ties to Troy and Dayton was arrested over the weekend on a warrant for felonious assault and having a weapon while under a disability.
Dontae Bailey, Sr., 34, is being held in the Miami County Jail on $200,000 cash bond.
Bailey is accused of shooting an individual in the leg during an argument over drugs.
It happened back Jan. 16 in an apartment in the 1300 block of Imperial Court in Troy.
Bailey was arraigned Monday morning via video from the jail at the Miami County Municipal Court.

Police are searching for a 34-year-old man in connection to a shooting at the Imperial Court Apartments on Stoneyridge Road.
Dontae L. Bailey Sr. is wanted on pending charges in connection to the shooting and arrest warrant will be sought in the case, according to Troy police.
Bailey is 5-foot-10 and weighs around 150 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
Police said Bailey has a Dayton address, but is known to frequent the Troy area.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the Miami County Communications Center at 911.

An investigation is underway into a shooting that happened Monday night in Troy.
A male victim was shot in the leg in the Imperial Court Apartments off Stoneyridge Road.
Several witnesses were taken to the police department for questioning, but no arrests have been made.
The victim was taken to Upper Valley Medical Center.
