Mr. Bourbon Restaurant, which opened in November 2019 at 5212 Salem Ave. in Trotwood, will reopen its carryout service today, Thursday April 16, and will resume its normal operating hours from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, according to co-founder Ali Arkan. It will be serving its full menu, and the ordering and pickup line will be marked to ensure social distancing, Arkan said.

The Mr. Bourbon menu includes its signature Bourbon Chicken and several other chicken dishes, such as Cajun and Curry chicken and a Chicken Philly Cheesesteak sandwich. It also offers gyros, fried rice, burritos and grilled fish entrees, along with a handful of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern specialties.

In Yellow Springs, the Sunrise Cafe at 259 Xenia Ave. is poised to reopen Friday, April 17. It will be open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday, according to owner Brian Rainey, who also founded a second restaurant in town, Calypso Grill & Smokehouse, which opened last week.

The Sunrise Cafe had shut down its carryout operations on April 3.

Joining Calypso Grill, Sunrise Cafe and Mr. Bourbon in reopening this week are KD’s Kettering BBQ, Bear Creek Donuts in Miamisburg and Donut Haus in Miamisburg.
