‘Spooked’ dog attacks couple at West Carrollton home, 2 hospitalized

UPDATE @ 1:55 p.m.: 

The dog responsible for attacking a couple at a West Carrollton home will not be removed by the Montgomery County Animal Resource Center and will be quarantined at the house, according to police.

Neighbors told our crew the couple comes to the house every day to feed the dogs. Police said earlier the couple was attacked after one dog was “spooked” and bit them.

Injuries to the couple are believed to be non-life threatening, according to police.

FIRST REPORT

Two people have been taken to the hospital for injuries from a reported dog attack according to West Carrollton police.

The incident occurred around noon in the 500 block of Richie Drive.

The dog was owned by the victims’ son, and it reportedly became, “spooked,” which then led to the attack, according to police.

Both victims suffered non-life threatening injuries, police said.
