The Vandalia-Butler Foundation recently elected new officers and added two new members to the trustees board.
Jean Maychack, a long-time Butler Twp. business leader and resident, was elected president of the Vandalia-Butler Foundation Board of Trustees. Maychack is President of Vancon, Inc. and Manager/Part Owner of North Dixie Self Storage in Dayton.
Cathy Stelzer-Petersen was elected vice president. She is currently the Director of Communications for Montgomery County.
Sharon Gitman, former Human Resources Director for the Greater Dayton Regional Transit Authority, was elected Secretary.
Mark Zielinski, formerly of Huntington Bank, will serve as Treasurer.
In addition, The Vandalia-Butler Foundation welcomed two new Trustees: Don Neff and Teri Rizvi.
Neff is the Managing Member of Neff & Associates Insurance Agency, LLC, and a long-time member of the Vandalia Optimists. He is also past president of the Vandalia-Butler Chamber of Commerce.
Rizvi has served as Executive Director of Strategic Communications at the University of Dayton since October 2013.
Leadership for the Vandalia-Butler Foundation rests in the community, while fiscal oversight of the funds is maintained by The Dayton Foundation, which serves the Dayton/Miami Valley area. This partnership allows for the Vandalia-Butler community to benefit from local leadership and profit from resources pooled with others for investment growth.
