The deadline to file taxes this year is April 18, because April 15 falls on a Saturday and because the next business day, April 17 is a holiday in the District of Columbia.
Vandalia and Brookville residents can also complete their city returns electronically using the City Tax Online Preparation Tool.
The online tool includes easy-to-follow, step-by-step instructions, and can be accessed through the city's website, www.vandaliaohio.org.
If residents do not have Internet access, they must obtain a form from the tax office.
